bought Ace as a weanling in the hopes of using him as our herd sire.
But circumstances intervened and he was gelded. He was injured as a 2
year old which was followed by 2 years of healing.
Melissa broke Ace as a 4 year old and has ridden him lightly ever since.
We are hoping to get him out and about the neighborhood again this year.
Lance
came to live with us courtesy of my parents friend and neighbors, Brian and
Sarah. Brian and Sarah were moving out of province and were unable to
take Lance with them prompting a search for a good home for their beloved
horse. As we
had known Brian and Sarah for a few years, they called asking us if we would
consider giving Lance a good home for the remainder of his life. We
said yes. Lance
is very well broke and is a great horse out on the trails. Melissa has
ridden him the most so far but Doyle and I will be getting on him and trying
him out soon.
